Hello

You have just downloaded the archive of www.klotenknijper.com.
If you only did so for reference purposes, you can stop reading
here.

If you intend to mirror the site now or in the future, there
are a couple of things that you need to pay attention to.

To create a mirror you can just unpack this archive in a web
directory of your choice WHILE PRESERVING the directory
structure. If you are using WinZip, tick the box "Use folder
names". This will result in <yourdirectory>/klotenknijper/*.*
locally, which you can then upload as is.

Also, when uploading, make sure that you don't convert upper
case file names to lower case; if you do, the menu applet will
not work. After uploading all the files to the web, you should
also upload this ZIP to your klotenknijper root directory.

It is a good idea mail me at <oracle@xs4all.nl> and ask me to
keep you posted on updates, so that your mirror dosn't become
outdated.

You will notice that two extra lines appear on the top of
the Java menu in your mirror that are not there in the
original. This is because the Java applet that creates the
menu is registered by URL, so when it finds itself running
on a different server than the original one it behaves as
if it was unregistered. If you want to register it and get
rid of the nag lines (price: USD 25), go to www.byte-sized.com,
where you will also find the manual and all other information
that you might need.

Finally, a note about the legal aspects of the site.

There is no copyright on the court and other official documents;
from a copyright point of view you can use them as you please.
The rest of the site (introduction, design etc) is copyright
Zenon Panoussis 1999-2000. I hereby grant you an irrevokable
non-exclusive license to publish the site, on condition that
you do not modify it in any way - with the exception that you
may, if you want, modify the text "owned by ... and maintained
by ..." on the main index page to reflect the actual circumstances
that apply to your site.

As for Klotenknijper's objections to the site, you will need to
use your good judgement to assess the risks involved in webbing
it. If you are a resident of Belgium, I would recommend that
you abstain. If you reside elsewhere in the EU, you should
assess the risk and possible consequences of Klotenknijper
suing you in Belgium or in your own country respectively.
The outcome in my case might of course encourage or discourage
him from suing, but that is still to be seen. If, finally, you
reside outside the EU, I would assume that the risk of getting
sued by Klotenknijper is neglectable. However, these are only
speculations on my part. You are your own webmaster and you make
your own decisions. Make them sound :)

Thank you for standing up for a free debate.

Zenon Panoussis
